WOMAN LETTERS.

I WAS touched by your story about Sarah Dickinson (Mirror Woman, January 17).

I just pray that Sarah proves the doctors wrong and recovers from ovarian cancer so she can see her little daughter Michele grow up.

V. Bryan,

Birmingham

THANKFULLY I am in good health, but you are never sure what life will throw at you. Sarah Dickinson has my greatest admiration.

Don't give up, Sarah. Fight for every moment you can with your lovely daughter and husband.

Our bodies can perform miracles themselves. I am sure that there are many people thinking of you. That is a great deal of positive strength.

IF YOU can help Sarah Dickinson in her campaign for greater awareness of ovarian cancer, please write to Mirror Woman or contact Good Housekeeping at 72 Broadwick Street, London W1V 2BP, which launched Sarah Dickinson's appeal to start a support group in this month's issue.

I AM 22 years old and for the past two years have become increasingly depressed about my looks.

So I was shocked and relieved to read your article about Babs Penalver on Imagined Ugliness Syndrome (Mirror Woman, January 10).

Last year I started having panic attacks and am now having therapy. My whole life is controlled by this disorder. Thank you for bringing this terrible illness to public attention.

YOUR request for people to write to you about vain men is the answer to my prayers.

I want everyone in Britain to know how vain my boyfriend is. He borrows my moisturiser; refused to have his photo taken until he'd been under the sunbed a few more times; asked what to wear to a Christmas Eve party - in October, and shaves his chest and legs.

He tells me he is always right and that I should just agree with him to save time and hassle.

When when we go out, I usually have to meet him there as he can never be ready in less than two hours. He's also had all his front teeth capped to give him a "sparkling smile".
