Young artists' competition.
HOLMFIRTH artist Ashley Jackson is urging young artists to submit their works for a charity calendar.
The Yorkshire Bank Young Artist Competition, open to 10 to 18-year-olds aims to celebrate local communities and raise cash for Help the Hospices, which supports hospice care across the UK.
As well as featuring in the Help the Hospices calendar, winners will receive pounds 500 for their school, a framed print of their work and a masterclass from Ashley.
One winner will spend a day painting with Ashley around Holmfirth.
Ashley said: "I'm delighted to be supporting this competition and helping to raise money for Help the Hospices.
"I'm looking forward to discovering creative talent in Huddersfield and seeing the entries come flooding in."
Entrants should send an A3 painting of what their community means to them, for example, a football game in the park, to: Ashley Jackson Competition, Finn Communications, Round Foundry Media Centre, Foundry Street, Leeds, LS11 5QP.
