ROY SO SICK OF UNITED.

Angry Roy Hodgson last night lost his cool in the great title war by banning all talk of Manchester United.

The Blackburn boss hates the mention of their name as he goes gunning for his first-ever Premiership title.

And he's had a pop at the media for concentrating on United mania instead of praising his side's exploits in charging to second place.

Hodgson, experienced in the intense rivalry of Milan's soccer giants after his spell at Inter, is furious that he's constantly asked about the championship shoot-out between United and Blackburn.

So much so that he admits: "I'm getting sick and tired that every discussion is about Manchester United. We don't discuss here the possibilities about whether United can be overtaken.

"Our priority is to finish high enough in the table to get the club into Europe.

"That hasn't changed, and we are concentrating solely on gathering the points we will need to have a chance of achieving that."

The final run-in is clearly rattling the normally calm and collected Blackburn boss.

Questions about his team's failure to destroy Crystal Palace instead of being held to a 2-2 draw left him infuriated.

He said: "I thought we were magnificent against Palace. You might even find a newspaper that says we played well for once.

"Although I don't hold out too many hopes."
