IAIN CAMPBELL: Virgo deal big break for bosses.
Byline: IAIN CAMPBELL
VIRGO may be a name more closely associated with snooker and star gazing, but Celtic fans will be hoping that the future is bright for new signing Adam.
The pounds 1.5million capture from Brighton is welcome on a number of levels.
It will help alleviate the defensive problems Gordon Strachan has inherited and will be also be a boost for Scotland boss Walter Smith.
With David Weir at the veteran stage, a long-term replacement will be required.
Having already made his mark at Future squad level, there will be high hopes Virgo can force his way into the World Cup squad if he fulfils his potential at Celtic.
With John Kennedy still a bit away from fitness, Zander Diamond only a rookie at Aberdeen and Andy Webster apparently in limbo at Hearts, the outlook is certainly promising for the 22-year-old after his dream move north.
