CDR Paul D. Matheny Jr., SC, USN, completed 23 years of active
service and retired on Aug. 1, 2005, after serving at Commander U.S.
Army Logistics Management College, Fort Lee, Va. He received his
bachelor's degree at the University of Tennessee and his
master's degrees at Middle Tennessee State University and the Naval
Postgraduate School. His previous duty stations include Navy Recruiting
Command, Millington, Tenn.; Naval Reserve Readiness Command Mid-South,
Millington, Tenn.; Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, Willow Grove,
Pa.; Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Readiness Center, Greensboro, N.C.;
USS La Salle (AGF 3); Naval Air Reserves Memphis, Millington, Tenn.; and
USS Dewey (DDG 45).
