BHB launches its electronic one-stop shop.
Racing's governing body has launched a new website - www.britishhorseracing.com - which unifies for the first time all of the British Horseracing Board's online activity. It provides detailed information on racegoing, ownership and bloodstock, and the racing industry.
The website contains many unique features, including an online facility for booking tickets for any race meeting in Britain throughout the year.
The site is split into three sections: Go Racing, Owning & Breeding, and Inside Horseracing.
It is designed as a "one-stop shop" for the needs of racing fans, novice and regular racegoers, the media, owners, breeders, and those who work in the sport.
To celebrate the launch of the website visitors have the chance to win a share in a racehorse for a year, to be trained by Mick Channon.
There is also a competition to win a VIP day for four to the first day of the 2004 Cheltenham Festival, and an exclusive interview with trainer Howard Johnson, in which he talks about the recent big-name purchases made by owner Graham Wylie.
The website was created by the BHB marketing department, in conjunction with all 59 racecourses and other industry stakeholders.
