WIFE'S FEARS FOR CARJACK DOCTOR.
THE devastated wife of a South African doctor fears her husband has been murdered by carjackers.Police found neurosurgeon Alec Grant's car abandoned - with a bullet hole through the driver's window - in remote farmland north of Johannesburg.
The words 'We kill all white trash' were burned into the ceiling with a cigarette lighter.
Tearful Helen Grant, originally from Grantown-on-Spey, Moray, bravely identified the Peugeot 406 despite the racist message and shattered glass.
Last night the distraught Scot said: "We are still waiting for news. We don't know anything. I have a very elderly mother in Scotland, and I am terribly worried about how she will take it."
Although police found part of a bullet in the car, there was no blood.
Police spokesman Captain Zacharias Swart last night said the search had been called off until tomorrow.
He added: "Our problem is that there is quite a distance between where he was hijacked and where the car was found.
"The body, if the doctor has been killed, could've been dumped anywhere."
