Thai restaurant Little Chilli closed until further notice.

A RESTAURANT closed suddenly following what was described as "very difficult circumstances."

Little Chilli, a Thai restaurant underneath the arches on Viaduct Street in Huddersfield town centre, had been open for more than three years.

A message on the restaurant's Facebook page said: "Due to very difficult circumstances we will be closed until further notice. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, we will endeavour to keep you all informed."

A handwritten sign on the restaurant's door says: "Due to difficult circumstances we will be closed until further notice.

"We sincerely apologise for this."

A customer who paid a deposit for 29 people for a meal on December 7 has had the money returned.

A spokesman for the restaurant messaged the Examiner to say: "It looks like we will not be reopening."
