TRIO RETURN TO MELWOOD AFTER SPELL OUT ON LOAN.

LIVERPOOL reserve team trio Adam Hammill, Craig Lindfield and Godwin Antwi have returned to Melwood following loan spells.

Hammill, 20, enjoyed the greatest success as he impressed at Championship outfit Blackpool.

The winger made 23 appearances for the Seasiders who are hoping he will return to Bloomfield Road.

"The move to Blackpool this season has been great for me and I'm not sure what will happen next," said Hammill, who signed a new three-year deal with the Reds back in August.

"I enjoyed it at Blackpool so if I go back there for six months I will or if Rafa Benitez wants me to stay at Liverpool I will.

"Eventually I want to break into the Liverpool team but it's going to be a step by step process and I realise that."

Striker Lindfield struggled during his spell with League Two outfit Bournemouth. He started just one league game and made a total of five appearances for the Cherries.

Midfielder Antwi failed to make the grade at Tranmere and returned to Melwood after just six starts.

All three players will come back into Gary Ablett's reserves squad but goalkeeper David Martin's loan spell with League One leaders Leicester City has been extended until the end of the season.

Midfielder Ryan Flynn will stay at Wrexham for a second month.
