Surrey Michelin star restaurant makes Good Food Guide 2020's top 50 restaurants in UK; Matt Worswick at the Latymer has been listed in the top 50 restaurants in the UK.

The annual Good Food Guide 2020 has been published and it features a Surrey restaurant in the top 50.

Matt Worswick at the Latymeris one ofSurrey's four michelin star restaurantsand it has been placed at number 32 in the best 50 restaurants in the UK.

The fine dining eatery, which is located inside the luxurious five star Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa inBagshot, offers bold flavours in dishes using locally sourced ingredients inspired by the seasons.

Also owner of four AA Rosettes, chef Matt Worswick, who appeared on BBC1's MasterChef: The Professionals in 2010 and most recently BBC2's Great British Menu in 2015, has created exquisite tasting menus for both lunch and dinner service.

The Latymer is situated in one of the oldest parts of the original house at Pennyhill Park, boasting an intimate and lavish atmosphere with wooden paneling, a beamed ceiling and rich, plush fabrics throughout.

The UK's Michelin stars for 2020 will be announced next month.

The seven course tasting menu at The Latymer

The exclusive restaurant is only open five days a week and you will need to reserve a table in advance, especially if you're hoping to visit on a Friday or Saturday evening as it gets booked up quickly.

Only tasting menus are available and you can choose between a five or seven course menu for dinner or a five course menu for lunch.

A five course lunch costs [pounds sterling]49 per person, while a seven course dinner will set you back [pounds sterling]105 each with the option of adding a wine flight of six pairing glasses for an additional [pounds sterling]80 per person.

While jackets are not required in the restaurant, do not turn up wearing jeans or trainers.

Children under 12 years old are not allowed in the restaurant.

Lunch - Saturday and Sunday: 12pm with last seating at 1.30pm

Dinner - Wednesday to Sunday: 7pm with last seating at 9pm
