Press reports say Real Madrid want him off the wage bill and he will not be given a squad number this season. Surely signing him on a free transfer would make good business sense.
Macca,at 31, will be a much more mature person who knows that the spice boys days are over for good. Signing him would be a low-risk move which could prove to be as big a bargain/masterstroke as the signing of Harry Kewell. Come on GH, Macca is a risk worth taking.
