Rugby Union: Johnson in trouble.
Byline: ALEX SPINKENGLAND captain Martin Johnson is to go on trial for dirty play after being accused by Saracens of two separate offences.
Johnson is alleged to have put fly-half Duncan McRae out for up to six weeks by kneeing him in the ribs during Leicester's Tetley's Bitter Cup win on Saturday.
It is also claimed he caught England team-mate Julian White with a left uppercut.
Striking an opponent with the knee carries a recommended ban of four weeks while the normal punishment for punching is 21 days.
Saracens' coach Alan Zondagh said: "Rugby is a hard game and if one of our players is injured in a fair tackle we accept that.
"But things off the ball shouldn't really happen."
Both alleged incidents were missed by the match officials but spotted later on the video.
The RFU plan to convene a disciplinary hearing "as soon as possible".
