The American Law Institute (Philadelphia, PA) has published
Restatement of the Law Third, Property (Mortgages), a hardbound volume
that addresses real property security issues "with the goal of
unifying this complex and complicated area of the law," the AM
said. Providing "mortgage guidance for everyday use by real estate
practitioners," the volume includes information on: the creation of
mortgages; future advances; mortgage substitutes; rights and duties
prior to foreclosure; transfers of mortgages and mortgages real estate;
payment and discharge; priorities; and, foreclosure. The volume costs
$90.
