Race hate boxer in doc attack.
A top boxer's career was in ruins last night after he was jailed for a vicious racist attack on a doctor.Shaun Cummins, who once sparred with world stars Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank and Herbie Hide, got five months for assaulting a coloured doctor trying to help his new-born baby.
Defence lawyer Oliver D'Sa said Cummins could "kiss goodbye to his career" if he was jailed.
But Leicester magistrates caged the 30-year-old fighter after hearing how he turned on paediatrician Ahmed Nana.
The court was told that Dr Nana was attacked when Cummins's baby son developed breathing problems in Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The boxer barred him from the bedside, saying: "I don't want any blacks coming near him."
Then he grabbed Dr Nana's face and twisted his head before pushing him away.
Magistrate Herdle White said: "We won't tolerate such behaviour.""
