Professor Kamal Shadad elected President of the Sudan Football Association.
Khartoum, 29 Oct (SUNA)- Professor Kamal Shadad has been elected chairman of the Sudanese Football Association, securing 33 votes against his opponent, Dr Mutasim Gaafar the former President of the Association who received 28 votes. The process which started at noon Sudan local time, at the building of the Sudanese Academy for Football, was closely monitored by the Federation International de Football FIFA. Shadad thus came back to the helm of the Association outsmarting Mutasam Gaafar. Shadad came entered the race under the theme of Renaissance and Reform while Gaafar was fighting under the theme of Progress. Amir Abdul Rahaman secured the post of Deputy Chair of the Association while El Fatih Ahmed Bani won the post of deputy Chair for the competitions affairs. As to the post of the Deputy Chair for Financial Affairs, the two candidates, Nassr Eddin Himaiditi and Usama Atta Al Manan scored the same votes which means they have to re-run one again and votes be counted, in line with the statute of the Association. Al Amin Osman Al Gabri won the post of Chairman of the Committee for Players Affairs. Professor Mohamed Jallal Mohamed Ahmed was meanwhile elected as Chair of the Legal Committee and the seat of Women Affairs, was won by Mirfat Hussein. MA/MA
