Pool boy's death was accidental.

A BOY of five who drowned at a party to celebrate a new swimming pool died accidentally an inquest jury decided yesterday.

Callum Grant was found by his mother at the bottom of the pool when she arrived to collect him.

He and brother Aiden, seven, had been at the party with 10 other children.

Police decided party hosts John Hoeben and Gail Sharratt had no case to answer, the Bourne- mouth inquest was told.

Coroner Sheriff Payne told the jurors that in order for them to record a verdict of neglect there must have been a long-term fault in the safety arrangements and not just a momentary mistake.

After the verdict, the boy's father Raymond Grant said: "Callum's death has completely devastated our family."
