ONE 2 ONE; 911 JOIN.
Scots-based popsters 911 turned Radio 1's Breakfast Show into Radio BUN yesterday - with a little help from One2One's John Dingwall.The trio, Lee Brennan, Spike Dawbarn and Jimmy Constable, were guests of DJ Chris Moyles, who is standing in for Zoe Ball and Kevin Greening this week.
Zany DJ Chris welcomed the pop heart-throbs by having a group of American football cheerleaders serve them buns for brekkers.
One2One's John Dingwall joined the lads as Bella Harrison, Sophia Ragavelas, Amanda O' Toole, and Sue Lloyd - known as the Crown Jewels - dished out the early morning treat.
DJ Chris said: "The guys had met the girls before and said they wouldn't come on the show unless the Crown Jewels were there, too.
"So we decided to surprise them by having the girls dish up some breakfast. It was a way of saying thanks to 911 for coming in so early in the morning."
Chris and 911 took time out with John to catch up on the news and gossip in the Daily Record, Britain's top paper for showbiz.
And 911 revealed exclusively to One2One how they tried to land superstar George Michael as their backing singer after he dropped in at the studio and gave them tips while they were recording their new record.
Ex-Wham star George - who fought expensive court cases against record companies Innervision and Sony - gave the lads some advice on how to steer clear of the pitfalls of the music business.
Spike said: "George came in to the studio while we were recording the new single. He turned up with his pet labrador, Hippy, because he was recording some tracks of his own and we listened to his demos.
"George said Jimmy looked like Andrew Ridgeley. We had a chat and asked him if he wanted to do some backing vocals for us, but he just laughed."
Jimmy added: "George is one of the lads. We thought he would be a mega- star and arrogant, but he wasn't. He was down to earth and a really nice guy who goes out for a few beers like us."
During the show, Chris also played 911's new single All I Want Is You, which is out on March 23.
It is taken from the forthcoming album Moving On, which was helmed in part by George Michael's producer John Douglas.
Afterwards Jimmy Constable said: " Now we're hoping to spend an entire week on the radio with Chris in the very near future. He knows it will be fun."
Spike added: "We had a laugh and took the mickey out of each other. We aren't nervous on the radio."
Scots fans can catch 911 at the SECC in Glasgow on March 25 as part of their first arena tour.
Jimmy said: "Touring is what we enjoy most."

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO has been urged to snub the Oscars ceremony later this month
She is upset because her son did not get a Best Actor nomination for Titanic, but co-star Kate Winslet and director James Cameron are up for awards.
Speaking at the New York premiere of her son's latest movie, The Man In The Iron Mask, Irmalin DiCaprio said: "Why should he go? He wasn't nominated. I don't think he will, but he won't decide until the last minute."
Meanwhile, DiCaprio has turned down an amazing pounds 100 million from companies who want him to endorse their products.
His publicist Cindy Guagenti said: "He's had a lot of offers, but not anything that interests him in the least."
THE blockbuster movie Titanic - which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Oscar nominee Kate Winslet - continues to break all sorts of records.
As well as being the biggest grossing film of all time, sales of the official Titanic: The Official Soundtrack CD and Titanic: Music As Heard On The Fateful Voyage have hit pounds 32,435,822.
Merchandise and auctioned memorabilia, from the real RMS Titanic have raised pounds 590,000.
Sales of books based on the doomed liner have reached an amazing pounds 30,780,000.
Videos including the Art & Education four-volume boxed-set Titanic total pounds 3 million.
And estimated takings from stage hit Titanic: The Musical have risen to pounds 5 million.
