Lynne's ghost makes killing.
JUBILANT former Coronation Street star Lynne Perrie says she is now worth more dead than when she was alive."The offers are just rolling in," says Lynne, whose Poison Ivy character was resurrected as a ghost in recent Street episodes.
"I'm earning about twice as much as I used to while I was in the Street. Ivy's ghost has given me a new lease of life."
Lynne, 65 next week, added: "I now find myself in big demand as an after- dinner speaker. Suddenly everybody wants me.
"I've also been offered a part in a new six-part drama. I'm flying to Spain soon for filming. It's fantastic."
Lynne said she was shocked when the Sunday Mirror exclusively revealed that she was to make a "comeback" in the long-running soap as the ghost of Ivy Brennan. I thought, `Well bloody hell they can't do without me even after I've been killed off'. I even thought of asking for a for a fee.
"But then the fan mail started rolling in along with the offers. Ivy's ghost was suddenly the hottest Street story in years.
"I took a certain amount of pride in that. It just shows you can't keep a good trouper down."
She added: "I don't regret for a moment leaving the Street.
"I wish Ivy's ghost all the luck in the world - she's going to need it."
