Hendrie dynasty is alive at Studley.

STRIKE sensation Stuart Hendrie looks set to follow in the footsteps of his father Paul and more illustrious brother Lee.

The 18-year-old has joined forces with Studley for the remainder of the season from Walsall's youth side.

He netted twice for Studley this week as they pulled off a pleasing 3-1 win over Shifnal Town.

Studley boss Lee Adams admitted: "Stuart's first goal was an absolute screamer, which he must have hit from 30 yards.

"He also scored from the penalty spot after Anthony Robinson had been brought down."

Both players appeared at Studley courtesy of Studley talisman Denis Mulholland.

It appears Mulholland is godfather to Stuart Hendrie as a result of his long association with Paul Hendrie.

Adams explained: "Denis played under Paul Hendrie when he was manager at both Redditch United and Tamworth.

"The pair also play together in veteran matches.

"In fact Denis reckons he's known Paul Hendrie for about 21 years. Denis also knows Mick Halsall at Walsall, which helped us obtain Stuart, who has only played in youth team matches to date.

"At first we played him in centre midfield and then wide out.

Then we threw him up front and he's really taken to it."

Adams added: "Dennis - who knows everybody - is also friendly with Kettering manager Mark Cooper, which enabled us to get Robbo this week as Kettering have already clinched the Blue Square North title after beating AFC Telford last Saturday, when I think Robbo scored twice.

"The disappointing thing is that Dennis got the winner for us last Saturday when we played at Coventry Sphinx and beat them 1-0.

"It was a cross-cum-shot which the wind got hold off!

"The worst thing about it is the fact Dennis hasn't shut-up talking about his goal ever since and is driving everyone mad about it."
