Football: Will's a star of future.

STRATFORD Town manager Micky Moore believes he has unearthed another gem from his Solihull College production line in the shape of 16-year-old striker Will Grigg.

Previously at Solihull School, Grigg has blossomed since moving to the College this autumn, where Moore is in charge of their thriving Football Development scheme.

Grigg partnered the prolific Rory May in Stratford's attack during both their FA Cup games against Hednesford Town.

And Grigg was on target for the Town against fellow Midland Alliance high-fliers Biddulph at the weekend.

Moore maintained: "Will's someone we've been looking at for sometime. He has a great deal of potential and we've never been scared to give players their chance - no matter what age they are.

"Will's the only player from the College currently in Stratford's side.

"We've got others in the pipeline - but they're not ready yet."

Moore remains confident that key players Jae Martin, Paddy Connelly and Nick Mole could soon be back in Stratford's ranks as they recover from injury.

However their absence hasn't stopped Stratford from stretching their unbeaten run to 10 games.

But that record should be put to the test today when they travel to Leicester side Friar Lane, who are locked at the top with Stratford.
