Football: CAPITAL ACES TARGET FRENCH BABES.
SCOTLAND Under-21 coach Alex Smith is preparing to send capital strike pair Kenny Miller and Gary Wales out to storm the French.Smith suggested earlier this month that Miller may be good enough to bypass the under-21s and go straight into the senior party.
But he said last night he was delighted to be able team up the Hibee kid with on-fire Hearts striker Wales against the French babes at Rugby Park next Tuesday.
Smith said: "I'm very pleased to have the chance to cap Kenny at under-21 level first.
"Kenny was considered for the full squad. But after some discussions with Craig we both felt he needed a bit more time."
"On top of that, the chance of teaming him up with Gary Wales will certainly attract a lot of interest in Edinburgh."
