Pizza Hut launches new fare

Pizza Hut turns up the heat with its new Cheesy JalapeEo Stuffed Crust pizza. The spiciest pizza ever launched by Pizza Hut in Oman, it packs fiery jalapeEo sliced pepA[degrees] pers (diners can choose between green or red) inside a golden cheesy crust sprinkled with spicy nacho seasoning. The chilli sauce base comes with yummy toppings of the diner's choice and more jalapeEos sprinkled on top. The pizza is available in large and medium sizes. The heat of the pepA[degrees] pers is complemented by warm melted cheese in the plump golden crust. Diners who can handle the heat can head to the nearest Pizza Hut outlet to enjoy the explosive burst of cheese and jalapeEos. The brand also offers food options like pizzas and pastas, starters such as salads, flatbreads, lasagne, mockA[degrees] tails, desserts and more.

Ingredients:

Mini marshmallows, 1 cup; chocolate buttons, 1&1/2 cups; broken digestive bis- cuits, 1 cup; butter, 35g

Procedure:

Heat chocolate buttons and butter in a microwave for 35 secs. Remove and mix well. Add in biscuits and mini marshmallows. Place small spoonfuls of the mixture onto a foil covered baking tray and refrigerate for 20 mins (or until set).

Vietnamese fare at The Chedi Muscat

The Chedi Muscat will host a Vietnamese culinary event from November 2A[degrees]8 in its fine dining venue, The Restaurant. For the first time in the hotel's 11 year hisA[degrees] tory, two guest chefs, Nguyen Ngoc Loc and Tran Tuan Vinh, will be visiting from their sister property The Nam Hai, situated in the scenic Hoi An region of Vietnam. With a special a la carte menu served exclusively for dinner, guests can enjoy classic Vietnamese preparaA[degrees]tions such as banana flower salad with smoked duck, steamed sea bass with lotus seeds, braised short ribs in slow cooked clay pot and more.

The treat will be held in the venue's four show kitchens as guests dine in a chandelierA[degrees]lit indoor dining area with live piano music or under the stars on the outdoor terrace in candleA[degrees]light.

Chinese week with Chef Gi

Al Bustan Palace, a RitzA[degrees]Carlton Hotel will host Chef Yoshiyuki Gi, an expert in the art of Chinese cuisine from November 9 to 13 to present his signature awardA[degrees]winning Chinese cuisine at China Mood restaurant. Chef Gi's expeA[degrees]rience spans over 45 years. He began his career at the age of 11, working in the kitchen of his famA[degrees]ily restaurant in Yokohama, Japan's Chinatown. Chef Gi then completed apprenticeships at a number of renowned Chinese restaurants in Japan, later movA[degrees] ing to China, where he further refined his culinary style. On returning to Japan, he joined Manchinro, a leading restaurant in Yokohama, as the general manager. He later moved on to open his own restaurants around Japan, including Sosaku Chuka Ichinofunairi which recently earned a Michelin star. Chef Gi has experienced tremendous culinary success, earning awards and accolades from reputable organisations and publications, including the International Council of the World Association of Chinese Cuisine.
