Chesterfield 0 Watford 0Chesterfield boss John Duncan sighed with relief as he had no more candidates for his jam-packed treatment room.
"I have enough worries before Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Middlesbrough at Old Trafford without them being added to," said Duncan.
Cup hero Tom Curtis, back just three weeks after a double hernia operation and Paul Holland - who missed six games - gave boss Duncan a Cup boost with solid performances.
But they did not impress watching Boro boss Bryan Robson on his second visit to Saltergate in four days.
He left with his No.2 Viv Anderson six minutes from the end.
The Cup run has wrecked Chesterfield's league form, only one league win in the last 12.
"Yes, it has dominated everyone's thoughts," said Duncan who made seven changes from the side Robson watched on Saturday.
There was further cheer for Duncan when reserve keeper Andy Leaning, 34, gave a confident performance to maintain the Spirites reputation as having division two's meanest defence.
Holland, a vital part of Duncan's FA Cup strategy, received his 6th booking of the season - but suspension will not affect his Cup dreams.
Watford, on the fringe of the play offs have not scored a league goal in seven hours of combat.
But no-one looked like scoring on this bleak evening.
