Dear GERRIE : WHALE OF A TIME.
Byline: G McCoyWE could learn a lot from our aquatic friends the Bowhead whales.
They take life easy, sleep a lot, grow slowly and never swim faster than 4mph, and then only in large groups. So it is no wonder these majestic creatures live for more than 200 years.
We say we are the most intelligent life forms on the planet.
Yet we race around, work long hours, pollute our environment and inflect grievous suffering on fellow humans and animals.
These gentle whales harm nobody, and seem to live much happier lives.
