Dear GERRIE : RELATIVE SECURITY.
Byline: L JefferyWE are constantly hearing that the Government is uncaring and, by keeping pensions low, condems the elderly to hunger and hypothermia.
We recently lost our 90-year-old mother, whose only income was her state pension, but she never went hungry or cold because her family made sure that she didn't. None of us had a lot to spare but we helped her out because we loved her.
So come on pensioners - when you are berating the Government for being selfish, take a look at your own families.
L Jeffery, Hornchurch, Essex
