Balochistan officers rejoice over appointment of Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri as Secretary Housing.
QUETTA, September 11, 2009 (Balochistan Times): The senior officers of the Balochistan Government in a meeting here Friday expressed their heartfelt delight on the promotion of. Mir Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri in BPS-22 as Federal Secretary, Housing and Works. The meeting was presided over by Chief Secretary Balochistan, Nasir Mahmood Khosa and attended by Secretaries of all the Provincial government departments. Addressing the meeting Mr. Khosa praised the role of Mir Ahmed Bakhsh who until recently was serving as Additional Chief Secretary Balochistan. The Chief Secretary said that the role of Mr. Lehri would be remembered for a long time because of his down to earth personality, dedication and commitment towards his responsibilities and above all his integrity and will to serve the common man should be the role model for every government servant. The meeting while extending its warm welcome to the elevation of Mir Ahmed Bakhsh as Federal Secretary maintained that his absence would be felt in Balochistan for a long time. The meeting however expressed the hope that in the capacity of a Federal Secretary Mir Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri would be in a better position to serve the people of Balochistan at Federal level. It may be recalled that Mr. Lehri had started his career as a Civil Servant during early 80s as Assistant Commissioner. He belongs to the District Management Group in 7th Common. During his service career he had served as Deputy Commissioner / Political Agent; Commissioner; Provincial Secretary; Director General of Gwadar Development Authority; Director General Hajj in Saudi Arabia and as Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning and Development Department Balochistan. He had obtained a Masters Degree from the Wisconsin University, USA in Public Policy and Development. Mr. Lehri possesses a vast experience in administrative matters. Earlier, the Chief Secretary reviewed the workings of provincial departments and expressed his satisfaction on the overall performance of the line departments. Nasir Mahmood Khosa however called upon the Secretaries to dispose of pending cases with focus on inquiry matters and a final report to be submitted in the next meeting of the Secretaries Committee.(THROUGH ASIA PULSE)
