This is what a lesbian looks like: aspiring comic, go-go dancer and big-time dreamer Paris Campbell is ready to make you laugh with her unfiltered and spontaneous humor.

* ON DISCOVERING SHE WAS A PERFORMER AT HEART: I've always known I wanted to perform. I grew up in a very performance-oriented family: my grandmother was Miss America 1951 and an opera singer, my mother is an actor and my father was a recording artist. It ran in my blood. I started performing in ballet recitals and school and once I got a taste of being on stage it was no longer a passion I could resist. I spent a long time dipping my toes in different genres of the performing arts before I considered stand-up comedy. I love making people laugh and to do that for a living is my own very sarcastic and twisted fairy tale.

* ON HER BRAND OF COMEDY: I write material about events in my own life: from growing up in this very blue blood environment, inside the political scene of D.C., to debunking being called a "hipster" by today's society. I love to throw in the occasional lesbian humor and I love to push the envelope as much as I can. I have yet to put the brakes on anything as going "too far."

* ON THE IMPORTANCE OF LGBT NIGHTLIFE: I am definitely a bit of a party animal. I love going out to all the lesbian bars and clubs and on occasion do some go-go dancing. What I think is even more amazing than the experience of a nightclub is the experience of being around other women who love women. I love the feeling of acceptance that seems to linger throughout gay and lesbian bars and nightclubs. It's a very important part of my life because I feel like it's a time my friends and I can get together and have a great time just dancing the night away and not caring what anybody else is thinking. I also love big events like Club Skirts' The Dinah that I just did because it's just such a great eye-opening experience for any lesbian. You get to be whoever you feel comfortable being and nobody will say ifs wrong. And of course, what lesbian doesn't love being around thousands of beautiful women?
