Spencer in pounds 2.5m move.

John Spencer last night ended his Chelsea hell with a pounds 2.5million move to Queens Park Rangers.

The transfer came just days after the little Scotland striker had accused Dutch player-manager Ruud Gullit of ignoring him for eight weeks and demanded to be treated like an adult.

Spencer signed a four-and-a-half year contract with QPR, a record fee for the London club, following a long-running feud with Gullit.

Spencer was upset at being shoved out of the side by the arrival of Italian superstar Gianluca Vialli and failed to start a single Premiership match for the Dutchman.

Spencer joined Chelsea from Rangers for pounds 450,000 in August 1992 and scored 43 goals in 134 games.
