Night and Day schoolgirl Jane Harper, played by Georgina Walker, and her French pen friend Francoise (Laurie Hagan) get passionate after a pillow fight. "It makes Brookside look tame," said a source at the ITV soap.
The 1990s kiss between Brookside's Beth Jordache, played by Anna Friel and nanny Margaret (Nicola Stephenson), pictured right, caused a sensation and was later voted one of TV's top 100 moments.
The Night and Day scene will be screened this Thursday night - but not in the show's teatime version.
