MARK'S A REAL BOBBY DAZZLER; Midland Alliance.

WEST Midlands Police eased their relegation woes with a splendid 5-2 victory at home to Chasetown.

Leading scorer Mark Bellingham grabbed a first half double with player-coach Andy Reece making sure of victory with two glorious long-range drives after the break.

Young central defender Tom Martin also added his name to the scoresheet with both Chasetown goals coming from substitute Paul Lezniak.

There was another seven goal thriller at Bloxwich Town where visitors Oldbury United clinched the points with a 4-3 victory.

And it was a game that Oldbury keeper Steve Johnson will not forget in a long time. He pulled off a penalty save but was also to blame for all three Bloxwich goals.

Matthew Rutter put Oldbury ahead, only for Alex Grice to level with a free-kick that slipped through the keeper's hands.

Long-range

Willie Dunn restored United's advantage on the half-hour but Adam Richards made it 2-2 when his long-range effort bounced over Johnson's head into the net.

Dunn's second on the stroke of half-time lifted the visitors and after Stuart Darby's penalty had been saved, Grice's own goal secured the points. Bloxwich's third came late on through John Marsh.

Gary Piggott was the toast of Willenhall Town with a goal in each half to clinch a 2-1 victory at high-flying Oadby Town.

He opened the scoring midway through the first period, only for Steve Kee to level five minutes before the interval.

Though Oadby dominated the second half, Piggott scrambled in Willenhall's last minute winner.

David Gambling gave Stafford Town an early lead at Wednesfield but it was not enough to stop the hosts from securing a 3-1 victory.

The game turned on the stroke of half-time when Mark Holdcroft headed an equaliser before Robbie Wilson slotted home a second. Chris Brown netted Wednesfield's third midway through the second half.
