Last Night's TV; The Restaurant (BBC2).
Byline: Jade WrightOOOH, it's all become a bit poor man's Apprentice.
Last night I was half expecting Nick and Margaret to burst in with disapproving looks, while Raymond looked on doing his best impression of Sir Alan.
This week it was giblets as the seven remaining pairs of wannabes were given a special delivery - half an organic pig.
Their task was to prove they understand and care about the importance of not wasting food as Raymond instructed them to use every scrap of the pig in their menus.
And use it they did, with snouts, lungs and hearts on the menu.
Then, of course, they had to persuade cautious British diners to try parts of a pig they wouldn't normally dare touch.
To avoid relegation, the pairs knew they had to take on the task with gusto.
By weighing the leftovers, Raymond and his inspectors decided who had made the most of this porky problem and who had shirked their culinary responsibilities and landed the most in the bin. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it is fairly irresistible TV.
