Football: Bathgate are simply two good; juniors.
Byline: John SPOWART reportsBO'NESS 0 BATHGATE 2
STRIKES in either half by Alan Neill and Gary Robertson were enough to see off the challenge of Bo'ness.
Neill grabbed the opener in 20 minutes, losing his marker in the box to head home an Iain Nicolson cross.
The closest the home team came to a goal in a scrappy first period was a David Hagan effort that was deflected past by Derek Anderson.
After the restart a Hagan cross caused the Bathgate defence all sorts of problems but the referee spotted an infringement and awarded a free-kick to relieve the pressure on the visitors.
With 20 minutes remaining Bo'ness were reduced to 10 men as Lee Docherty got his marching orders for swearing at the referee.
Robertson sealed the victory right at the death, getting on the end of a Stewart McSwale corner to power a header past the helpless Paul Ferguson.
The result means Bathgate have now won their last two East Super League matches while Bo'ness remain pointless after four starts.
VALE OF CLYDE 2 LUGAR BOSWELL 0
MARK GANNON and Paul McLaughlin fired Vale to victory over 10-man Lugar.
Gannon got the ball rolling in the second minute when he pounced to stab home Mark McInally's inviting cross.
McLaughlin sealed the win from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute after Campbell McLuskie saw red for handling Ryan McGregor's net-bound shot.
GLENAFTON 0 AUCHINLECK 1
A LATE goal from supersub Craig Feroz earned Talbot all three points.
The away side scored just before half time when Stuart Davidson slotted home.
Talbot could've scored more after the interval with John Boyle and Brian Young both failing to get on the scoresheet.
Feroz hit the winner late on when he wriggled free to shoot past Gary Mathews.
ARNISTON 2 PENICUIK 2
PENICUIK were glad of a point after playing an hour with assistant boss Stuart McKean in goal following an injury to new signing Jamie Swinburne.
And they then had Ryan Gay sent off before half-time. Dean Jones put Penicuik ahead but Mike Perry equalised.
Martin Cameron gave the visitors the lead again but Ian Grieve levelled.
NEWTONGRANGE 3 HARTHILL 1
A SUPERB display by Harthill keeper Gary Watson could not stop Newtongrange cruising to an easy victory.
Watson made a string of saves but couldn't stop Paul Forbes' header in 17 minutes.
Dave Connelly's 56th minute penalty levelled for Harthill but 'Grange's pressure paid off with late strikes from Craig Manson and John Dunn sealing the win.
