Faisalabad division wins All Punjab Archery Tournament.

SARGODHA -- Faisalabad division won All Punjab Archery Tournament played at Astroturf hockey stadium here on Wednesday.

While Sargodha division secured second position.

Players of Azad Kashmir also participated in 30 meter competitions and individually in 70 meter competitions.

The event was organized by the Punjab Sports department in which Commissioner Sargodha division Zafar Iqbal was chief guest who gave away prizes among players.

The Commissioner eulogized the performance of Archery players and highlighted the importance of game in the perspective of Islam.

He said that Archery was also a favourite game of the Holy Prophet (Peace be Upon Him).

He said that Archery was being played in the Olympic games while it was also being played in over 150 countries.

The Divisional Sports officer told that one player try to obtain six targets in one minute time period and also throw total 72 arrows while receive ten points after hitting to centre of target.
