DPMS/Panther Arms recognized as Patriotic Employer.

DPMS/Panther Arms has received two awards, honoring its commitment to veterans, and the National Guard and reserves.

The National Committee for Employers Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recently named DPMS a Patriotic Employer. The award recognizes DPMS' "continuing support of the United States National Guard and Reserve and the men and women who protect freedom both at home and abroad."

Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Carol Molnau presented the award to the company, along with representatives from the ESGR and the Minnesota National Guard.

An employee who serves in the National Guard, and is currently deployed in Iraq, nominated DPMS for the award. More than half of DPMS' employees have previous military experience, and 14 of them currently serve in the National Guard and reserve, with two currently deployed to Iraq.

In addition, the Minnesota Veterans of Foreign Wars named DPMS/Panther Arms its 2006 VFW Employer of the Year.

"The decision to hire veterans is easy," said Randy Luth, DPMS president and CEO. "They have previous firearms experience, a strong work ethic and leadership skills."
