BOE! HISS!; Scary keeper kicked out.

Two seasons ago former Cameroon World Cup keeper Andre Boe was a cult hero with Morton.

But now the African shot-stopper has fallen on hard times and been axed from his latest club down south because he's SCARING his team-mates.

Bosses at non-league Molesey snapped after a string of cock-ups from the keeper OFF the park and complaints from the rest of the team that he kept shouting BOO at them on the field.

Ben O'Connor, secretary of the Surrey club, said: "Andre kept shouting boo when the ball was to be passed to him. He says he was only shouting his name

"He had to go for cultural reasons. He couldn't understand us and we couldn't understand him."

Boe's ex-Cappielow boss Allan McGraw admitted nothing about the larger than life keeper would surprise him.

But he rushed to his defence and said: "Andre is one of the most likeable big fellows you could wish to meet.

"We brought him in because David Wylie was injured and he played around six first team games. He was a quality keeper and the fans loved him.

"Mind you, he could always give you some hair-raising moments, dribbling around the edge of the box or standing in the middle of the park.

"But no matter what happened he was always smiling and laughing. The players liked him and I know Andre enjoyed having a drink with them.

"Andre's command of English wasn't bad at all but he was better at Scottish and didn't take long to learn some swear words.

"There was no real language barrier. You find that Scottish players are always good at making our foreign visitors welcome."

Boe, capped 62 times by his country, had much more difficulty down south where he couldn't understand anything.

When his tiny club - languishing at the bottom of the Ryman League - were to face Wembley FC, the African turned up at Wembley Stadium where he had played for Cameroon against England.

Molesey secretary O'Connor said: "Soon after Wembley, the club phoned and told Andre to go to Sudbury Station. He turned up at Sunbury miles away.

"When we played Aldershot he appeared at Woking when he should have been at Guildford.

"His timing wasn't too good either. Once he rolled in at 8.10 for a 7.45 kick-off.

"He could bring a tear to your eye at times. We tried to explain four- letter words to him and after one match when the fans were swearing at him he said `what lovely gentlemen they are'.

"But despite all that Andre is a great loss.

"He was a very good shot stopper who would make seven or eight world class saves, then we'd lose 7-0."

Boe, who is looking for a new club, insisted: "I wouldn't say boo to a goose
