Aprilia coup as top design ace joins up.

Aprilia has a new head of design, Miguel Galluzzi.

And if his past achievements are anything to go by, we can expect to see some stunners emerge from the Noale factory very soon.

In 1989 Galluzzi joined the Cagiva Group. Here he gained international fame as the man behind the 1992 Ducati Monster, a bike still one of the icons of motorcycle design.

Other designs by Galluzzi include the Ducati 900 SS and 944 ST, the Cagiva Planet, Raptor and Xtra-Raptor, and all the gorgeous Husqvarnas from 1997 onwards.

"Our strategy now is to achieve a more extensive and more aggressive coverage of the main segments of today's motorcycle market through a range of easily identifiable products, advanced technology and innovation, and unmistakable style," says Aprilia brand manager, Leo Mercanti.
