Wilko meets up with pal; City files.
Byline: Paul Wilkinson,
CARDIFF City coach Paul Wilkinson met up with former Barnsley team-mate Jovo Bosancic in Portugal.
Wilko and Serbian Bosancic were together in Barnsley's team when they earned promotion to the Premier League in 1996-97.
Bosancic, now aged 38, later left Barnsley to play for Guingamp in France. Now he lives in Portugal, having finished his playing career with CD Nacional, in Madeira, and he joined City manager Dave Jones and his staff for a meal in Cascais.
"I loved my time in Barnsley," said Bosancic. "The people were so friendly, so passionate about their football. We had a successful team and my time there was among the best of my career."
Wilkinson is now first-team coach for the Bluebirds, while his current big project is working with young striker Josh Magennis.
He did the same job with Cameron Jerome when he emerged from youth football to become a senior professional.
