WEEKEND TV: SUNDAY TV: TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS.
Byline: MARION MCMULLENTHE GLASS (ITV, 9pm)
TV FAVOURITES John Thaw and Sarah Lancashire join forces for a new six- part drama set in the tough world of selling.
Producer Tom Grieves says: "From the moment they met John and Sarah clicked and the on-screen chemistry between them is fantastic. The scripts are very original and very funny."
Thaw openly admits there is little to like about his tough businessman character Jim Proctor. "He's very flawed," he sums up. "Proctor, like most successful people, has come to the realisation that he hasn't got a life. He finds it very difficult to talk about his emotions and how he feels. He is attempting to change no matter how clumsily and badly it might seem he is going about it."
DAVID BLAINE: FROZEN IN TIME (CHANNEL 4, 9.10pm)
SUPER-COOL street magician David Blaine brought New York's Times Square to a near halt last year when he embarked on a chilling endurance test - to stand virtually immobile inside a six ton block of ice for nearly 62 hours.
Blaine revisits his sleep-deprived, hallucinatory ordeal in tonight's programme with behind-the-scenes footage of his amazing feat.
He also finds time to perform a little magic and watch out for special appearances by Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey and rock musician Lenny Kravitz.
