The new products' names, identity and packaging were unveiled today to distributors at the annual Miller Brewing National Sales Conference in Orlando, Fla., and will be available in selected markets in May and launched nationwide in June 2002.

Stolichnaya Citrona goes head-to-head with other brands competing in the emergent flavored malt beverage category. It offers a crisp and refreshing blend of citrus and other natural flavors containing Stolichnaya vodka, creating a beverage preferred over competitors in consumer taste tests.

Capturing the increasing popularity of flavored malt beverages, as well as the American trend toward bold Mexican tastes, Sauza Diablo is the first flavored malt beverage with natural flavors containing tequila and margarita-inspired citrus flavors.

"With Stolichnaya Citrona and Sauza Diablo, we are expanding our offerings in the malt beverage category with authentic flavors of Allied Domecq's premium spirits brands," said Denis Denis, king of Portugal: see Diniz.  McGarry, GM, VP Enterprise Brands and Business Development, Miller Brewing Company. Since Stolichnaya and Sauza are top performers in their respective spirits categories, we believe adult legal drinking age The legal drinking age is a limit assigned by governments to restrict the access of children and youth to alcoholic beverages. The flavored malt beverage category is the fastest-growing segment in the wine, beer and spirits industry, with 26 percent growth in 2001 and expectations of 108 percent growth in 2002 according to Morgan Stanley Forecasting. Pairing flavored malt beverages with leading spirit brands will further strengthen the product offering. Stolichnaya Vodka is the world's number one spirits brand as defined by Impact International, while Sauza Tequila posted close to 18 percent growth in 2001.

"Our portfolio of premium brands appeals to adult legal drinking age consumers who are as diverse as their drinking occasions," said Philip Bowman, Allied Domecq's Chief Executive. "We see this introduction as a tremendous opportunity for Allied Domecq and Miller Brewing to build and extend brand visibility with and beyond our core audience."

Stolichnaya Citrona and Sauza Diablo will be brewed and distributed by Miller in the United States. Stolichnaya Citrona's packaging incorporates Stoli's authentic Russian-inspired clear bottle and red and gold graphics. Sauza Diablo features dark "devilishly dev·il·ish
