EASTENDERS ONE of the benefits of having a Muslim family in the Square is that weddings are so much more colourful and fun than the tedious 'hen night in the Vic followed by register office do' that we usually get.
BY ROZ Tamwar and Afia's nuptials go on for days. They're not actually tying the knot (for the second time, having already sneaked off to marry in secret) until next week, but there are plenty of pre-wedding celebrations to keep us going, including a drummer-led procession through the streets.
Although the Masoods are actually not in any mood to celebrate, riven as they are with family feuds. Parents Zainab and Mas aren't talking and the bride's father Yusef is trying to get back with his ex-wife, Zainab. The nasty doctor has already persuaded Afia to ban Mas from the wedding.
Desperate to stop Zainab from having anything more to do with Yusef, Mas vows that he'd rather stop the nuptials than see the two families united. So he bursts in to the Mehndi party to announce he's forbidding the wedding - which is when Tamwar shocks everyone by revealing they're already married.
A row ensues which sees Mas punch Yusef. Then Yusef's cousin arrives to make a shocking revelation. Happy families, eh!
HAVE A GO: a masked Also this week, Max enjoys winding up Greg and sneaking about with Tanya, while Eddie and Carol kiss. He'll be serenading her with Hold Me Close next.
Shirley is suspicious of the time Phil is spending with Raine, even when he says he's just her sponsor (as if anyone would turn to Phil for sound advice!). So he buys Shirley the cafe to shut her up.
CORONATION STREET [bar] BECKY is pretty handy with a sledgehammer - just look at the Barlows' smashed-up front room for evidence - but she shouldn't tangle with new Rovers bar manager Stella, who shows real guts this week.
She's a have-a-go-hero, saving Leanne from a masked attacker trying to rob the bookies. He's wielding a baseball bat but Stella wades in and wrestles him to the ground.
So, Becky, you might want to think twice before flirting outrageously with Karl in front of his girlfriend Stella.
She's only really doing it to wind up Steve, but it works too well when he demands a divorce, before going off to see brother Andy and leaving Stella in charge.
LAWS Becky takes the opportunity to march into the pub and announce that, actually, she's in charge. Which means having late-night parties (upsetting Ken again) and dancing on the tables. Meanwhile, Carla goes to her mum's funeral alone and hits the bottle, then calls Peter for help, much to Leanne's annoyance. Tracy delights in telling Sylvia about Hayley's sex change and James - who might not be as nice as he seems - puts pressure on Sophie and Sian.
EMMERDALE [bar] IT'S a sombre week in the village, full of tragedy and departures. The residents say goodbye to Jackson in an emotional funeral, but Aaron can't go as he has to appear in court, charged with murdering his boyfriend.
Debbie miscarries Cameron's baby and Rhona, fed up with Paddy's jealousy of Marlon, leaves the village. She says she's visiting her mum but won't say for how long - will she be back? HOME & AWAY SID and Marilyn are now history, leaving him free to pursue his attraction to Roo. They grow closer when they work together on Elijah's fundraiser. Then Sid asks Roo to intervene when Nicole decides to fight Marilyn over custody of baby George. Roo's having a busy week, as her old business partner begs her to get back on board.

Charlie and Brax decide to tell everyone about their affair at her birthday party. Plus, Romeo tries to track down Ruby.
HOLLYOAKS [bar] WOMANISING copper Ethan needs to make up his mind, because by the end of the week he's got two girlfriends on the go. He turns to Theresa when Liberty dumps him, then decides he still loves his ex and gets back with her - only neglects to tell Theresa. Oops!
Also, Leanne announces she's moving out but has a shock in store for Amy, and Sinead, Ruby and Esther go on a trip to Wales.
NEIGHBOURS [bar] IT takes a lot to fill Madge's shoes but Harold's new fiancee Carolyn makes an impact on Ramsay Street. Harold, meanwhile, is wondering whether to tell Toadie that he's seen Sonya kissing Troy. Andrew leaves it till the last minute to beg Summer to stay.
