SHIRLEY IN BATTLE FOR DEAD BROTHER.
FILM star Shirley Anne Field will this week begin a court battle over the death of her brother.
Publisher Guy Broomfield, 60, was shot dead in his San Francisco home in 1999 by his girlfriend's son Harry Dalsey - 26-year-old heir to the DHL courier fortune. Dalsey admitted the killing in court but got only three years' jail after plea bargaining the charge from second degree murder to involuntary manslaughter.
Shirley Anne, 63, flew to the USA this week to begin a civil action alleging wrongful death.
She could be awarded millions if successful.
But before leaving her home in Hampstead, North London, she said: "This is not about money. "My brother's character was destroyed in court.
"They completely sabotaged his character."
She is expected to speak at a preliminary arbitration hearing tomorrow.
After his marriage broke up, Guy became the lover of Dalsey's widowed mother Annie, 54, and lived in her California mansion for six years. He was shot at point blank range after a row.
