Ogilvie is still a force to be reckoned with; EAST JUNIORS.
Byline: BY KEVIN McGOLDRICK
GARY OGILVIE may be 40 but he's still a force in the junior ranks.
The Forfar West End defender is a police officer and also lays down the law on the park.
He opted to go on the beat after his professional career stalled but still enjoys pulling on his boots.
And he hopes to continue playing for a while yet.
After spells at Dundee, Sunderland and Airdrie Ogilvie found himself out of football. He joined the police and eventually took up the junior game. After a spell at Carnoustie he's now at Forfar and loving it.
He said: "I feel like a new player since arriving here and even though by most standards I'm getting on a bit I take inspiration from the man I replaced here, Bobby Brown.
"He's hitting 50 so I can see why the boss was keen to add some young blood.
"I'm impressed by the quality of young players here and I have no doubt some of them could take the step to a higher level."
