Located on the World Wide Web at www.musicblvd.com, Music Boulevard is a one-stop service where customers can listen to 30-second sound samples, view album art or artist photos, read album reviews or musician biographies, and buy from the most extensive music catalog available with over 145,000 listings. Music Boulevard also offers Billboard( chart listings and an electronic newsstand that allows patrons to read articles from and purchase subscriptions to several music magazines. In addition, customers can view Music Wire, the Web's first daily music magazine, edited and written by Music Boulevard's staff of professional music journalists. All of this rich material is accessible through an enticing and easy-to-use interface.

Music Boulevard offers an extensive world of music information at no cost. The entry screen allows shoppers to select All Music or a specific genre, such as Pop & Rock, Country, Classical, and Jazz, or enter the Newsstand or review Special Offers.

"Content is top priority for Music Boulevard. We have developed strong relationships with key publishers and record labels, as well as made significant investments in editorial staff and multimedia content development," said Roger Wilcox, vice president of product development for Telebase.

At the center of Music Boulevard is a core database of albums that can be searched by artist, title, song or label. An artist search retrieves a complete discography, while a title search retrieves any album with that song. Song lists, sound samples, reviews and artist biographies are available for albums. Music Boulevard's Newsstand section offers Music Wire, an original daily online magazine featuring the latest music news, reviews, feature articles and "Today in Music History." Also available on the Newsstand are excerpts from Spin, Blues Revue, Dirty Linen, Fanfare, Gramophone, Puncture and the online jazz magazine e.Bop, as well as the opportunity to buy subscriptions.

The New Releases section of Music Boulevard features ten to twenty new releases weekly. Shoppers can also check current Billboard charts where entries are hot-linked directly to the album.

Interface Quality

Music Boulevard's interface has been designed for both visual appeal and convenience. Users who are concerned about the time it takes to download graphics can choose from three modes, ranging from limited to full graphics.

Registration, Ordering and Customer Service

A short registration process allows immediate access to Music Boulevard. Once inside the store, purchases are made by credit card, which can be submitted online through a secure Web browser, via an 800 number or via fax. All CDs and cassettes are discounted. There is nominal charge for shipping and handling and selections are delivered in three to five days. Knowledgeable staff members provide customer support through an 800 number, e-mail, phone, fax or regular mail.
