RAWALPINDI, January 23, 2010 (Frontier Star): Major General
Sahibzada Isfandiyar Pataudi has been appointed as Chairman Pakistan
Polo Association (PPA). Major General Pataudi is a 3-goal handicapped
polo player himself with over 25 years of experience playing the sport
both in Pakistan and aboard. He has represented the Pakistan Army on
several international tours and also served as Chief of Staff of the
committee that organized the 2004 Polo World Cup playoffs in Pakistan.
Major General Pataudi's father and grandfather were both polo
players and founding members of Lahore Polo Club; he is expected to
spearhead an organized effort to streamline polo playing talent in the
country.
