The Journal of Southern History is a quarterly published by the Southern Historical Association at the University of Georgia, in Athens. It is devoted to the history of the American South and is open to different chronological periods, methodologies, and southern historical topics. It also publishes information regarding the business of the Association as well as items of interest to historians of the South, and in the South.
