IT'Z A BOY; Boyzone Keith so thrilled at birth of child.
Boyzone hunk Keith Duffy celebrated a boy of his own yesterday when he became a dad.The star's girlfriend Lisa Smith, 25, gave birth to a baby boy in the early hours of the morning.
And the singer - who recently charted with the group's version of Father And Son - was at Lisa's side when their 8lb 7oz baby arrived. The proud parents have not decided on a name for their first child yet.
Mother and child are now resting in a pounds 132-a-day private room in Dublin's Rotunda Hospital.
A delighted Keith said last night: "I'm absolutely thrilled."
He then revealed that his mum Pat, who spent all Monday night with Keith at the hospital, will look after the baby when Lisa returns to work.
Fashion buyer Lisa was rushed to hospital last week after complaining she felt sick. But doctors sent her home to rest for the weekend.
On Monday morning, Keith drove her back to the Rotunda.
But he will only be able to play the doting dad for a few more days. Boyzone start a sell-out tour of Britain this weekend.
He will only have time to settle Lisa and the baby into their new pounds 100,000 home in the North Dublin suburb of Glasnevin before shooting off.
Lisa and Keith are engaged and have been dating for over two years. They met before Boyzone hit the big time as Ireland's first internationally successful pop group.
Young female fans were stunned last year when news of the pregnancy first came to light.
And they were shocked again last week when they heard a second Boyzone baby is on the way.
Mikey Graham's girlfriend Sharon Keane is due to give birth next month. The 23-year-old star only recently broke the news to the rest of the group.
