Bus workers will reunite to recreate long lost journeys.

A REUNION tour for ex-bus company workers will take to the road in Coventry.

A get-together of staff who worked for the West Midlands PTE's East Division in Coventry in the mid-1970s has been scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 16.

Members of the West Midlands Omnibus Preservation Society and Coventry Area Transport Society, which were formed in 1975 but are no longer in existence, are also invited to the event.

Guests will meet at Broadgate, city centre, at 10.45am, and then travel on the Coventry Daimler CVG No. 239 for a drive through Ernesford Grange and Nuneaton where we will take in Galley Common, a frequent destination on the Sunday afternoon tours that took place in the late 1970s.

The party will return to Coventry from Nuneaton on a Midland Red coach via the Grove Farm Estate and Ash Green.

Anyone who would like to attend should phone Steven Knight, organiser, on 07500 837560. Alternatively email: wmpte_reunion@yahoo.co.uk
