yourLETTERS: We need a sign.

Byline: David E Sutcliffe

IT seems that there are major road works in Mostyn Street, Llandudno. Whilst incoming buses to Llandudno continue to arrive, buses leaving the town have stopped using Mostyn Street.

Like many other bus passengers I was not aware of the changes, because the bus stop signs had not been covered up, nor were there any signs to indicate any alternative arrangements for bus stops elsewhere.

The Conwy Council provides bus transport information by way of maps and timetables at bus stops, visitors and occasional users of public transport to and from Llandudno, should have been informed and provided with the necessary information to enable them to get home. When I went to the usual bus stop I use, not far from Marks & Spencer, I found several other passengers there who weren't aware of the bus diversions. That bus stop was no longer a bus stop, but there was nothing to inform the passengers.

I have used buses in London where they inform passengers when a bus stop is temporarily out of use for several days, and alternative arrangements/ diversions have been made.
