It's easy to make jokes about Switzerland but as the cheekily named English language tells us, famous Swiss architects include Borromini, Robert Maillart, Le Corbusier, Hannes Meyer, Mario Botta, Peter Zumthor, Bernard Tschumi and I-Ierzog and de Meuron.

Vitruvius, who on the current documentary evidence seems to have been all-Italian, is not mentioned. Also there is a reasonable amount of Swiss architecture on the site, found under the head Great Buildings. Chauvinism apart, the site offers access to some nice practice sites including that of the wonderful Coop Himmelb(l)au and of Paolo Soleri - the latter looking, these days, more like a work-n-play holiday guide. You can subscribe free to a newsletter and there are lots of other goodies on the site. You end up a bit ashamed at having made jokes about Swiss dullness.
