why westliFe will always be No2.

Byline: Pat Flanagan

WESTLIFE are on the way to the afterlife and The Stone Roses are coming back to life...it's been a good week for music. If there was to be a theme music to the boom years it would be played by Westlife and it would be worthless and complete shite.

They were described as an Irish version of Take That without the songs or the singers. Their success is also being assessed in Celtic Tiger terms of the amount of money they made and number of records sold.

But like many of the buildings that went up during the boom their music is far from Unbreakable and will not last. Like many of the shysters of the Celtic Tiger years, good riddance to bad rubbish.
